This role is responsible for providing dedicated but remote cyber threat intelligence support to an enterprise client. The successful candidate will join a growing team responsible for delivering cyber and physical security solutions within the UK, Europe and Globally. The primary role of the Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst is to support the production of accurate, high quality and timely intelligence products. This will include support to leadership, peers and junior members of staff as well as clients, both in-house and on-prem.

In this role, the individual will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the client’s threat landscape including relevant threat actors and TTPs. The individual will also be expected to maintain a collection plan that includes up to date client specific technologies, suppliers, and other contextual information, as well as relevant intelligence requirements. The successful candidate will be able to draft well-written, strategic, operational or tactical-focused products with minimal supervision. This role will also involve presenting both short form and longer more detailed threat intelligence reports to the client.

The Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst is expected to perform and achieve consistently against defined targets as set by leadership, primarily measured against client satisfaction, quality of analysis, quality of product, regulatory and legal compliance and the maintaining of team ethos.The Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst will be office based but will primarily work remotely with a requirement to visit the SecAlliance London office periodically dependent on location. On occasion the successful candidate may be required to travel within Europe in support of client activity.

Competencies

• Detailed understanding and experience with numerous types of cyber security incidents, attacks, and events.
• Previous use of CTI methodologies such as investigative pivoting models or investigative frameworks, as well as MITRE ATT&CK, and the Extended Cyber Kill Chain.
• A demonstrated ability to write technically and strategically with predictive assessment, using short and long form intelligence report formats.
• A strong awareness of geopolitical developments and their interplay with CTI.
• An in-depth understanding of the intelligence cycle and its key components.
• Experience in open-source collection, including social media, messaging apps and dark web.
• Working knowledge of MISP and Virus Total, ability to learn and operate all internal tooling, and ability to identify gaps and improvements in tooling that enable investigations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Contribute to the continuous development, optimisation, delivery and maintenance of the cyber threat intelligence services portfolio.
• Conduct threat intelligence activities through the entirety of the intelligence cycle.
• Participate in and attend meetings and presentations with clients, prospective clients and partners.
• Lead production of daily, weekly and monthly reports in line with client requirements.
• Effectively manage client Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Contribute to the continuous development of client information requirements and cyber threat intelligence collection plans.
• Provide support to fellow analysts, including those who require mentoring and enablement.
